first time staying in JR Clement inn, and I am staying in the one Takayama. it's only 2 mins walk from JR station, bus station and highway bus station which is very convenient. I have a very good memory. Room is spacious, Lobby is nice, free coffee and tea available, choice of amenities are good in quality and variety. House keeping is very good, everything is clean, neat and tidy. Staffs are very polite, helpful and friendly. The public bath area is clean, spacious and the dressing room light is very good and comfortable, the light is good for makeup too. yet it is not onsen, but the hot bath is facing Takayama port, I took the bath oneday in day time and enjoy the sea view which is superb.

This was an unexpectedly good stay. We had booked it for convenience and its location close to the station and ferry, since we planned to do island excursions. The room was a little small, but adequate and very clean. The onsen was an unexpected delight, and we really appreciated this after long days of walking. It really is super convenient for the station and ferry. It has a Kombini on the ground floor, great for quick snacks, and also the Izakaya (pub/restaurant) on the ground floor was really great. Nearby is a super cute arts district of Kitahamacho with cafes and shops.

The hotel didn't have a restaurant - hence 3/4 marks for Facilities. But takeaways from eg the ground floor7-Eleven, could be warmed/cooked in the hotel's microwave ovens on each floor. On the ground floor there was also a Japanese & an Italian restaurant, for breakfast (for which vouchers could be purchased at reception) & evening meals - very convenient. The hotel's (free) Wi-Fi was very useful, inc. for Google Translate, & worked in the two restaurants too. The (free) tea/coffee machine at reception was v useful. (But there was a kettle in the room too)

I am very satisfied with our stay. The location is super great. The port for ferries and station for trains are just across the street, about 5min walk. The room even has a mini refrigerator. Although I have to pay for the breakfast, the price is very reasonable and food is very healthy with good amount. Some small unique Japanese amenities are offered and complimentary. The public bath on the top floor is a surprise to me and I love it.

The location to ferries and airport bus (which leaves from next door Hotel, 1 min walk) cannot be beat. 711 attached and cafe, udon place also basically attached. Extremely convenient for island hoop just be sure to get to ferry tickets early the fast ferries sell out (though the slower ones have so much nicer view). Great view from room and very nice hot strong shower.
